BRABUS 800 CABRIO: Open-Air Masterpiece Without Compromise

BRABUS 800 Cabrio defines what an automotive icon truly is: the courage to challenge conventions, the freedom to engineer without compromise, and the confidence to express uncompromising individuality. This philosophy stands at the core of BRABUS, and it is embodied perfectly in the new BRABUS 800 CABRIO—an open-air Masterpiece that redefines exclusivity in the luxury performance SUV segment.

Engineered based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO is the result of an exceptionally complex transformation. Using state-of-the-art CAD development and simulation technologies, BRABUS engineers achieved torsional rigidity comparable to that of the closed G-Class by integrating high-strength steel reinforcements. Preserving the unmistakable silhouette of the G-Class remained a top priority throughout the entire development process.

At the heart of this conversion lies a highly sophisticated soft-top system comprising more than 500 custom-engineered components, all developed and tested to full OEM quality standards. The two-piece fabric roof opens or closes in just 20 seconds at the push of a button and features a heated safety-glass rear window. A world-first integrated carbon-fiber surface bow in the front roof section ensures outstanding roof stability and significantly reduced wind noise at higher speeds. Toward the rear, the roof transitions seamlessly into the body-integrated “C-BOW” steel roll bar, accented with exposed carbon elements, while the rear roof section folds automatically behind the rear seats.

Performance is equally uncompromising. The open-top Masterpiece is powered by a 4.0-liter high-performance V8 engine producing 800 hp (588 kW) and 1,000 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a SPEEDSHIFT TCT nine-speed automatic transmission, which can also be operated manually through BRABUS carbon shift paddles mounted on the steering wheel. The result is breathtaking acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 240 km/h. High-performance lubricants for the engine and drivetrain are supplied by BRABUS technology partner MOTUL.

Visually, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO delivers an immediate statement. The aggressive BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody design is paired with 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock ZM “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels, creating an unmistakable presence on the road. Manufactured using advanced forging and CNC machining technology, the wheels feature a bold black disc-style design and are fitted in sizes 10Jx24 at the front and 12Jx24 at the rear. Specially developed Hankook Ventus S1 evo ZX high-performance tires (295/30 ZR 24 front, 345/25 ZR 24 rear) ensure optimal grip and stability.

Inside, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO offers a truly bespoke BRABUS Masterpiece interior, crafted exclusively for this model. Contrasting the metallic black exterior, the cabin is upholstered in the finest “Oxford Sand” and “Cairos Brown” BRABUS leathers, meticulously hand-finished in the BRABUS upholstery workshop. For maximum comfort during open-top driving, integrated Airscarf systems in the headrests gently direct warm air around the occupants’ neck and shoulder areas.

The BRABUS 800 CABRIO is not merely a convertible—it is a statement of engineering excellence, individuality, and uncompromising luxury, created for those who demand the extraordinary.
